Nyjah is a professional American skateboarder, having competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where he placed 7th in Men's Street Skateboarding. His World Championships experience is extensive, participating in numerous events since 2013 and earning 14 medals, including eight golds and six silvers.

In June 2021, Huston launched his skateboard brand, Disorder Skateboards. Huston's accolades also extend to receiving the inaugural "Kentucky Unbridled Spirit Award for Action Sports" in 2006 and multiple awards at Transworld SKATEboarding's 2012 event. He has been a featured character in several video games, including titles like Tony Hawk's Project 8, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.

His father, Adeyemi Huston, a former skateboarder, emphasized individual pursuits like skateboarding over team sports for Nyjah and his four siblings. The family lived in isolation from mainstream American culture, and Nyjah's father built an indoor skatepark in their backyard. His journey began at age five, leading to numerous accolades and sponsorship deals by his early teens, culminating in his participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as one of skateboarding's most iconic figures.

Nyjah Huston was born and brought up in Davis, California, to parents Adeyemi and Kelle Huston. Between 2006 and 2010, Nyjah and his family reloacted to Puerto Rico, which gravely affected Nyjah's sponsorship deals. His parents were childhood sweethearts but divorced in 2010. His mother, Kelle Huston, also serves as his manager. Nyjah has four siblings: three brothers named Jahmai, Ahbi, and Kiade, and one sister named Isha.

He has amassed an impressive contest history throughout his career. Beginning in 2004, he placed 4th in the Volcom Damn Am competition for street skateboarding and also won the Best Trick awards for both Small Rail and Big Rail categories. In 2005, he continued his success by winning the Tampa Am street competition and securing 1st place at the K.R.3.A.M. AM 2005 event. His achievements include multiple podium finishes and victories across renowned events such as the X Games, Street League Skateboarding, and various international contests like the Kimberley Diamond Cup in South Africa.
